I'm pear ish shaped, so the idea of a tutu, or any tight leggings, make me feel uncomfortable. My measurements are 33 26 41.Do you think I'm just too self conscious, or should I start making some legitimate plans to lose weight? I don't want to be the flopping whale in the room full of skinny girls, but I'm also not sure that I want to lose my only curves...Will ballet be really hard for me, being a bit overweight?

I am a very serious Ballet dancer and my teacher said it is time I get myself noticed for ballet and she suggested 2 places Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The National Ballet School in Toronto and I was speaking with my parents and we want to make sure that I do this right and go to the right place I have to have good security it can be a boarding school and we want to make sure it is the best one and price may be a factor but please just list any of them do not worry about budget please. I just want to make sure I do this right and I have been researching I just am not sure how to go about this so please help me with this thank you for reading this and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks againthanks whats the full name?
California Ballet School?
i am was in pre pointe the advanced ballet class at my old studio i'm looking for a new one, dont ask why and i hear this school is really good, would i be allowed to test into it at this time of year? also do they offer flamenco ballet?
In my school dance 1 class we are doing a unit for ballet...and i have a few questions!?
Well, my teacher said that we would be doing ballet things, no pointe but like ballet for like 4 6 wks or more im not really sure, but we do the barre exercises and other things, well i was wondering how much of leg muscle im going to get and what are some good stretches for like plies and balance? when we do tondues sp? and do the point and forward and backward and things like that the tondu exercise if u have done it before and like u have to balance on one foot while ur doing the exersize with the other...ANYWay...just my main questions are will i get good leg muscle from 6 8wks of ballet and how to get better balance when doing tondues and relives?im in 9th grade btwand its an hour and a half class either 2 times a week or 3 times, it depends on the week and schedule, we have ABdays at our school.thanks soooo much
I just started ballet school and...?
HATED it I really want to go on to be a dancer in a company but do I need to have a diploma of finishing a ballet school.I go to a wonderfull ballet classwhere the teacher was trained profesionaly and I love it. I love ballet. But I dont get an diploma from this class.
