I need a site that references ballet terms?

Do I need to memorize all the ballet terms?
I want to go on to ponite by August of 2009. Should I start learning the terms.

Dancers, do you think it's important to know the proper spelling for all of the ballet terms that you use?
I'm on a crusade for the preservation of proper spelling and pronounciation of traditional ballet terminology. I am afraid... VERY afraid of what I see here. I give up on English... that's clearly hopeless, but the ballet dictionary is only 120 pages OK, OK French accents don't count Signed Gorge Ball N Shine

Can you tell me some ballet terms please as i can never remember them?

Anyone know a lot about ballet terms?
So I'm in a ballet class, and this past week my teacher told us to write down the steps so we could practice at home. Anyway, I wrote them down, and towards the end I wasn't really paying attention to the spelling of the terms. So, one of the terms I wrote down was " tambe." I'm somewhat new to ballet so when I got home I couldn't remember what that was. I tried googling it, but I obviously spelt it way wrong, because I can't find out what it means. Please if anyone knows, help me out Thanks

In Ballet, The female dancer is called a ballarina, what term is used for the male dancer?
Maybe this is one of those questions that there is not an answer to. Maybe he is just a ballet dancer. But if there is a specific term I would like to know it.

Ballet term for developpe leap?
You know how a brush leap is called a Grande Jete? Well I was wondering what the ballet term for a developpe leap is...or is it just developpe? Just really curious Hmm....Well at other sources I have heard it as a saut de chat. I looked it up in my Gail Grant dictionary, but the definition is a bit complicated soh duh shah Cat's jump. A term of the French School. This is similar to the Italien pas de chat. The working foot, instead of being raised to the side of the knee, is raised in raccourci derriere. After the jump in the air, during which both knees and feet are drawn up, the landing is made in fondu on the foot which was raised first, with the other foot in raccourci devant. The raised foot is then closed in demi plie in the fifth position front. If the saut de chat is petit, the jump is small and the free foot is raised sur le cou de pied.I think this sounds like it, but I am not sure Okay, thanks so much
