She should try out each sport for about a month or even a shorter amount of time depending if she likes it. But make sure she tries every one. ( I liked competitie gymnastics out of all of them I tried them all) So she should try the one she seems most interested in first

I see all three requiring a great deal of commitment however nearly all sports do at the competitive level. I think that they all require you to be in a very high level of physical fitness as well. I think that swimming can be very tedious to train for as my dad was in the aquatic club throughout junior high and high school and hated having to swim laps every day. Its also not something you can just get up and do if you feel like it on a sunday afternoon. At least with ballet or gymnastics she could practice at home if she wanted to. The two are kind of related as well and she can take what she learned in ballet and apply it to gymnastics or vice versa if she decides to change her mind down the road. Since you ask for other sports, I have to suggest soccer as it is my favourite and I do see it as the best game you can play ;) Good Luck!

Well I have done all of them! But gymnastics is the one i stick with. Gymnastics: Its a difficult sport and it is probably harder to start if you are over a certain age.You would learn how to do round-off back-handsprings and stuff.. Swimming: Keeps you in shape and it is great to compete in.You would learn how to start, flipturns and different strokes. Ballet: It would keep you in shape and teach you how to be graceful :) hope this helps a little.

There are pros about all of them. i personally like swimming the best it keeps you in shape and it feels great to swim My friend has done ballet forever and she loves it and that also keeps you in shape. She has had to give so much up for it though. Gymnastics i also have 2 friends that love it. It keeps you in shape also but with gymnastics she'll have a lot of catching up to do. Any of them are great and require a lot of dedication. If she likes to dance but not ballet she could go out for a dance team also.

Well, I would advise not to engage in gymnastics because you can stunt your growth. I personally think swimming is the best option as it overall more physically demanding using all of the body.
