Have you looked into canvas ballet shoes? I wear Sanshas. They are extremely soft and really mold to your feet. They last a long time and are cheaper than leather ballet shoes!

At my studio we can pick whatever kind of flat ballet shoes we want to wear but my one Russian teacher only lets us wear canvas shoes... i have found that the sansha brand is very comfortable and lasts a long time when dancing on marly or wood floors.

Get Capezio Cobras. really good. Mine lasted me like half a year (with some sewing acationaly) And i take 6 classes a week eatch lasting at least 3 hours. and go to discountdance.com Much cheaper than a store.
