Boston ballet?
Does anybody know about specific height requirements or weight limits for your height, or the ability level that you need in order to be part of Boston Ballet?
Ballet Classes (Boston)?
I've been a little ballet obsessed ever since I was little. I took jazz and gymnastics classes, to prepare me, or something, then when my family moved to the Boston area, where we are now, I enrolled at the Boston Ballet school. I took that class from ages 5 8, but I was forced to quit when my dad lost his job , and we could no longer afford it don't worry, we're stable now . Now I'm almost 14, and for these past six years, I have been desperate to get back into classes.I feel like if there's one thing I'm supposed to do in my lifetime, it's to dance.My questions Is it possible to re enroll in classes at the Boston Ballet?If not The Boston Ballet, does anyone know other places I could enroll?What age group would I be put into?I walk on my toes naturally, should I stop this before I start classes?Every time I try to talk to my parents about this, they say maybe, and the topic never comes up again. How do I get my point across that I really want to do this?Thanks
I just got the early acceptance/priority acceptance to Boston Ballet's Summer Dance Program 2008. Has anyone
else gotten this e mail yet? I'm 15 years old, and I just auditioned on Saturday and they responded with my early acceptance today 4 days later I'm really excited. I should be proud right? Is anyone else going got this letter?that's so great for you 13 year old but you are going to the younger program, that is called " dance lab" or used to be. now it's boston ballet at newton, i think.
Auditioning for Boston Ballet.....?
I'm 14Dancing for.... like 3 or 4 years when i was little, dancing for 2 or 3 years now, 10 hours a week.NOT on pointe yet I guess I'll be on pointe soon....Can do a triple pirouette on my right, BARELY ONE on my left I've got a dreaded hereditary belly and sorta big butt, about 5'2" and 100 lbsI have the splits down well, on my left, im maybe 5 or 6 centimeters off I love ballet w alllllllllllll my heart, and Boston Ballet is like heaven on earth And I really really really wanna audition for Boston Ballet in the summer Tips? do you dance there? Do i have to be en pointe 14?Tips for stretching, exercises, what the classes are like, dieting, auditioning...etc?I also see girls around 10 12 on pointe the school.... Im so jealous..... would they put me in a class w little kids????
Adult Ballet in Boston Area?
Does anyone know where adult ballet classes are offered in the Boston area? I live in Newton and would like to not have to travel too far. I took sixteen years of ballet about ten years ago, but am not in as good of shape anymore and would like to work my way back up. I don't have delusions that I'll be professional or anything, just want a place to learn again, and MAYBE even perform.Thanks
